Thermometer Cufflinks

One of the most spectacular inventions of the Renaissance genius was the liquid thermometer. Galileo relied on the physical principle that the density of a liquid changes depending on temperature. The glass spheres of the thermometer rise and fall according to the ambient temperature, creating two zones; one at the top and one at the bottom. Each sphere has a plate with the temperature corresponding to the density of the liquid. To know the temperature you only have to read the lowest sphere of the set of balls that is in the upper area of the thermometer. These thermometers mark the ambient temperature between 16º and 28º.
