Panavia Tornado Fighter Plane Shirt Cufflinks. Cufflinks Made of Rhodium-Plated Steel with a size of 18 mm
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine variable geometry wing fighter aircraft that was jointly developed by the United Kingdom, West Germany and Italy in the 1970s. Three main versions of this aircraft were created: the Tornado IDS fighter-bomber, the attack suppression aircraft enemy air defenses Tornado ECR and the Tornado ADV interceptor. The Tornado was developed and manufactured by Panavia Aircraft GmbH, a trinational consortium formed by the companies British Aerospace (formerly British Aircraft Corporation) of the United Kingdom, MBB of Germany and Alenia Aeronautica of Italy.
Its first flight took place on August 14, 1974, entering service between 1979 and 1980. Due to its multipurpose character, it was able to replace several different models of aircraft in the air forces that adopted it. The Royal Saudi Air Force was the only export operator of the Tornado apart from the air forces of partner countries. After the entry into service of the aircraft, the collaboration has also been maintained with the launch of a tri-national training and evaluation unit (Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment) at the RAF Cottesmore military base, England.
