The Mazinger Z is a Robot created by Doctor Juzo Kabuto, to stop Dr. Hell's plans to conquer the world.
Knowing about Dr. Hell's genius in building robots. Dr. Juzo equipped the Mazinger Z with the most advanced energy and steel technology. For its construction it used an alloy that contains a japonium mineral; a mineral that is only found in Japan and whose deposit is kept secret although it is known that it is close to Mount Fuji, since this mineral is essential for the processing of Photo Atomic energy.
The alloy with which the Mazinger is built is known as alloy Z, and not only does it have a higher resistance than conventional steel and a melting temperature above 6000º, but it also allows the Mazinger Z to use Energy Photo atomic energy to feed itself, which gives the robot and its weapons great power. Dr. Hell does not have material of similar resistance and seeks to seize it to perfect his mechanical monsters.
Since the robot has a considerable height of 18 meters, Professor Juzo Kabuto built a flying ship, which, propelled by horizontally placed propellers, ascended to the head of the robot, to stay there. Once the ship is docked on the robot's head, it is activated and the pilot can maneuver it.
